María Eva Duarte de Perón born in rural Argentina 7 May 1919, was relentless in perusing her goal of fame and fortune.
Now, opera is most defiantly not everyone’s cup of tea but I had goose bumps throughout the entire show!
A tremendous amount of praise and appreciation must go to Angela Kilian who epitomized Eva Peron so convincingly. I almost have no words in expressing just how powerful the last act was.
Set Designs and Costumes were that of the 19th century bringing the feeling of rural Argentina to life. The choreography was superb as was the wonderful technique portraying the infamous balcony the Casa Rosada on the day of Peron’s inauguration as president.
My accolades go to the producer and cast for an outstanding performance. It is easy to see why this show has been sold out for its duration.
