2010/05/15 Motoring: The Ferrari 458 Italia

Okay, she's a little "old" regardless of being launched this year...the way technology changes these days, it's hard to keep up with the fast paced world of automobile technology!
The Ferrari 458 Italia...insane...I WANT!!!
The Ferrari 458 Italia...insane...I WANT!!!

This has got to be one of the finest looking vehicles ever produced. Besides the rip-roaring engine - a humble V-8 engine is good for 562 horsepower and a zero-to-60 time of 3.4 seconds - the most drastic changes to this specific Ferrari are the aesthetics and the styling...I mean...even a blind man can see how incredible different the 458 Italia truly is in compared to some of the latest Ferrari models...!

The back end of the 458 seems somewhat exaggerated in size, yet fits the bill so-to-speak with the true and hardcore Ferrari enthusiasts. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is controlled only by paddle shifters on the racing-inspired steering wheel, and dual electronic gauges frame a center tachometer bring everything together as well as Ferrari always has and reminds you that this is one serious machine. Don't get it wrong...because, this car is just as extreme as it's styling - dude to the "backended" weight distribution - the car will no doubt be somewhat wild on the crack and will hold a untamed nature that is the heart and soul of a true sports car.

The unusual styling is seen most prominently in the difference between the front and the back of the 458. In comparison, the front seems elegant and graceful, whereas the back is dripped in testosterone - hosting a new exhaust set-up of a trip piping exit and protruding rear-tail lights...unique and aggressive.

The 458 Italia is by far one of the most unique sports on the road today...

So...who's ordering one?
