The ridiculously savage report goes as follows:

S.A.'s Crime Statistics...shocking!
|
“Pretoria - An elderly Pretoria couple were found dead in their home on Thursday morning, paramedics said.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said they were called to a house in Mayville to treat a person who had collapsed.
"When we got there the poor paramedics got the shock of their lives," he said.
The man, in his 80s, was found facedown in the lounge with his arms and legs tied up, and was dead.
His wife, also in her 80s, was found dead in the passage.
Police were on the scene, he said.
Paramedics were called by the couple's son who had found them on the floor.”

They say that our prize and gift as South Africans is that we, well some of us, at the end of the day get to go home to our loving families…we don’t live here, we survive. I’m afraid to think that some of us go about our days blindly, not thinking about the horrors and despicable occurrences in our country is something that is sadly embraced by too many of us. When I refer to “embraced”, I am implying a sense of acceptance and submissiveness. Now, I’m not saying “revolt” or storm the streets reeking havoc on anyone and everything you believe is deserving of an epic bludgeoning, that would be bad…fun for some, but bad for the majority of us.

Laughing all the way to the bank...! B*stards!

When I read about instances like this, I say with great regret that this will not be the last time we as a nation hear about these numbing media regurgitations, I fear that we as a nation, or simpler than that…us as a society still have an enormous way to go in order to co-exist through race and culture. Believe me when I say to you that I’m no way implying that this attack was racially motivated, for one that would be speculation and two, that would be racist…and I’m not a racist. I’m not going to get into a racial slur here nor am I going to divulge into the intricacies of crime and the demographics that go with it.

Wasn't me...! I swear...what...?
|
What I will say though, with quite some reservation for what I truly wish to express, is that the men (assumptions are wonderful…) who committed this atrocity know the difference between right and wrong. There isn’t a single human within a relatively matured life span that does not understand the difference between right and wrong. Now before I get all “Cane and Abel” on you and slam you with moral ethics, it’s not that I have an issue with the fact that they chose wrong over right, evil over good, Australia over South Africa…what ever way you slice it…my major issue with this case is this, and I will quote directly from the report…

The man, in his 80s…”
And
“His wife, also in her 80s…”
Eighty years old? Really? As in older than Bill Cosby and if you’ve seen Mr. Cosby lately you will notice that…he’s old, really old…so old in fact that the man needs assistance getting up from a chair, holding intricate items in his hands and who definitely has some difficulty squeezing off a few precious drops of urine into the magical pond known to us as a toilet. Now, let’s revise here…I didn’t quote how the “The Late Father Time“ was left and eventually found because every time I read it, it gives me the chills.

Thanks for that Mr.Sucky-Call-Center!!!
|
Eighty years old? Are you that much of a coward that you need to murder an eighty-year-old man and his wife, who as quoted above was of equal age? Speaking hypothetically here, let me get this straight…I’m assuming the perpetrator here was young, maybe 20s, right? Okay then, you’re agile…you’re strong…motivated…desperate and a coward, did I mention that already? Did you have to murder them…they were so old, literally old enough to have been grandparents to some toddler out there…! Could you not have shouted at them? Locked them in the bathroom…I can sickeningly imagine the act of firstly, scaring an elderly couple half to death with your clever…”break and entry” maneuvers, but single-filing them into the bathroom like petrified sheep and cattle would have been the more “humane” thing to have done in the situation…you cowardly b*stards!!!

Solution 101.
|
Writing this subjective kind of response to the above report could be called judgmental and bias on my behalf…then so be it! There is not a single human being that can detest to the vulgarity and hideousness that this story reveals. Note this editorial down as a personal response, one that I hope is echoed throughout a nation. Let this be a call to the justice system to crack down on the severity of the crime situation in South Africa. Let this ring out to the men and women of South Africa to no longer be mindless readers of the news and reports such as this…have the courage to speak out and be heard, this has got to stop and it has got to stop now!
