Design your "I love football" Doodle...for Google!



"Doodle 4 Google" - "I love Football"

Welcome to Doodle 4 Google – "I love football", a competition where we invite young people to design the Google logo in their very own style (This is called a doodle).

We're inviting 4 to 17 year olds from around the world to exercise their creative imaginations around the theme: "I love football". So, get your art supplies and let your imagination run wild.

The winning doodle will be displayed internationally on the Google homepage for a day on July 11th 2010.

1. Before you start doodling, read carefully through the Info for Participants – it's super important!

2. Download the Google logo guidelines – these also act as your entry and parents' consent form.

3. Go ahead and let your imagination run wild!

4. The doodle must not show any representation , logo or symbol of a specific country or a team or a sporting event such as: Football teams badges, country flags, football tournaments symbols or logos or mascot. (Such doodles will be disqualified to compete).


National contest – Get your art featured in South Africa


Google employees and a panel of local judges from South Africa will select the top 10 doodles that the public will then vote for, to choose the South African winner. The national winning doodle will be displayed on the Google homepage for 24 hours:

The national winner will automatically be entered in the global competition. The public from around the world will vote for their overall favorite doodle. The overall winning doodle will be displayed on the Google homepage of all the participating countries for 24 hours, in July 2010. The overall winner and the runner up will win amazing prizes!
