2010/06/01 Company Review: Rate That Restaurant

Customer service is one of the fastest growing and most widely scrutinized industries in the world. Maintaining the highest levels of service and customer satisfaction is by far, one of the hardest jobs in existence and what's worse is that the "Review" below centers around a company that creates avenues to do just that for one of the toughest industries in the world - twice over - The Restaurant industry...

Fighting to stay on top of quality service doesn't only come from within the internal management of each and every restaurant, but they also need to have their ears close enough to the ground to hear the warning signs...warning signs that no longer come with outlandish neon signs, shouting and verbal complaints...they come with a single click of a button or the sending of a tweet...companies, especially in the service industry need to be paying special attention to what people are saying about them...anywhere and everywhere...and now even more so, online!

Press Release from Rate That Restaurant:

Coupled with an up-to-date blog informing the general public on what’s happening, where it’s happening and when it’s happening. The main aim is to highlight the food scene and the ideas of the South African food, restaurant, events and wine scene. A place where the general public can come look for a restaurant, leave feedback on experience’s they’ve had and find out what’s happening with restaurants and food/wine events in SA.

We would like to promote chefs and restaurants on our website but often battle to find relevant information, which is why we have joined forces with local bloggers and people in the industry so that we can share this information with the general public.

It is a free website for Restaurants to sign up and use, no subscriptions or fees for the restaurants or the public.

Testimonial:

A Blurb about RTR written by Ben Filmalter, Founder – Mugg and Bean:

“At last!!!

A comprehensive and informative consumers’ guide of places to dine, catch a cup of coffee, meet friends for a drink, take the children or just relax over a good meal and glass of wine. This easy-to-use guide highlights the important information without unnecessary flowery verbiage, but then encourages YOU to fill in the blanks.

Did YOU have good time, what do YOU think about the food, did it meet YOUR expectation and are YOU going back? Fellow diners want to share YOUR experience, good bad or indifferent, before spending their hard earned bucks!!!

As with every service provider in the world, stuff happens; so the restaurant will be given the opportunity to recover and make good on their reputation, by fixing the problem. But they also need to know when they’re doing right and that’s what Rate That Restaurant is about, giving YOU, the consumer, first-hand information so YOU can make an informed choice.”
